Common questions

What does it cost?
Nothing. The widget is free, with no conditions.
What is shown?
Public catch reports with a photo from the water — species, length, date and the angler's name. Positions are approximate by default; an exact position is shown only if the angler chose to publish it.
Can visitors report directly in the widget?
Yes. The quick report — Dead, Bite or Catch — works right inside the widget. Anyone who wants to log the full catch with a photo is sent on to Fångstrapport.se.
Who may use the widget?
Anyone with a water to show off: fishing conservation associations, water owners, municipalities, campsites, fishing guides and clubs.
Does the association get anything more?
Yes. Associations that claim their page on Fångstrapport.se get access to statistics on live reports and public catches on their waters — and the widget brings in more reports to build those statistics from.
Does it slow the site down?
Barely. The widget loads in its own frame after the rest of the page and weighs less than an ordinary image.
