Your association already has a page
Fångstrapport.se lists Sweden's fishing conservation associations (FVOF) from the county administrative boards' open registers, with the waters each one manages, links to permit sales, facilities such as a boat ramp or accessible fishing — and the latest public catch reports from the association's waters.
Every association is at /fishing-associations. The page already exists; the only question is whether the details are right.
The same goes for individual waters: every lake, river and coastal area has a page of its own, whoever owns the fishing rights. Those pages are therefore just as useful to municipalities, campsites and individual rights-holders outside the association form — everyone with fishing rights to manage has a natural place to start from.
Claim the page
At the bottom of the association's page there is a Claim this page form. Write who you are, your role in the association, and what needs updating — the permit link, the website, contact details, the description or the facilities. We review every claim by hand and get in touch before anything is published.
The claim is sent from your account on Fångstrapport.se, and it is that account that gets access once the claim is approved. An account is free and takes under a minute to create.
Visitors can also suggest corrections to individual details ("there actually is a boat ramp here", say) — those are reviewed by hand too before they appear.
Statistics for your waters
Associations with an approved claim get access to a statistics view of their own. You reach it through the Open your statistics link at the bottom of the association's page — sign in with the account that sent the claim.
It shows aggregated activity on the association's waters: live reports (Nothing · A take · A fish) per week and per water, and the number of public catch reports. It is the same kind of material that survey fishing and catch reporting to the county board are built on — what actually happens at the water, over time.
The statistics are always aggregated. Individual reporters, exact positions, and times finer than the day are never shown.
The widget — your catches on your own website
With the widget you can show the latest catch reports from your water directly on your own site. It updates itself as new catches are reported, and visitors can leave a quick report — Nothing, A take or A fish — without leaving your page.
The code is one line of HTML and works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and hand-built sites. The widget needs no claim and no account — it is open to anyone with a water to show: associations, municipalities, campsites, guides and clubs.
The widget and the statistics reinforce each other: more quick reports from your site give your statistics view more to show.
What it costs
Nothing. The association page, the claim, the statistics and the widget are free, with no conditions.
