About the map
The depth map of Mälaren in Södermanland is a scanned bathymetric chart from SMHI Vattenwebb (the Swedish Water Archive, SVAR). The source material is paper depth charts produced by SMHI and the county administrative boards over the years. The file you download is a PDF of the unaltered scan, 14 historical maps of Mälaren — it opens on phone, tablet and desktop. If you need the georeferenced GeoTIFF for QGIS or similar, it is available as a separate download.
