What is Fångstrapport?
Fångstrapport.se is a private catch log that also becomes a public map of fishing in Sweden. You photograph the fish, the AI fills in the details from the image and the EXIF data, you confirm — done.
Every catch is stored privately in your logbook so you can learn from your own trips. It can also be shared publicly — then with its water. Where in the water you fished stays in your logbook.
Privacy
Anglers protect their spots. So do we. That is a ground rule, not a setting: a public catch is shown with its water but without a location, the images have their EXIF data stripped before they are served, and you decide for yourself whether an individual catch should be shared more openly or more privately.

Leaderboards and challenges
Verified public catches count automatically towards the leaderboards — by species, by water, by county, by year and all-time. No forms to fill in; if you report it, you are in.
You can also set up private challenges with friends — "The biggest pike of summer 2026", say, or "Most species over the summer". Invite the people you fish with and you get a shared standing between you.
Sponsored competitions
On /competitions you will find sponsored fishing competitions open to every user. Log your catch as usual during the competition period — if it qualifies under the competition's terms (species, method, minimum size) it counts towards the standings automatically, with no separate entry. The top places are rewarded with prizes from the sponsor; some competitions also have special prizes chosen by a jury, such as the best photograph.

Sister project
Fångstrapport.se shares a database with IsRapport.se, the Swedish ice-thickness reporting service. You will find the same waters, the same map data and the same preference for keeping things simple.
